Last night I was reading bed time stories to the boys, when Gavin noticed that the fish, Dory, was "sleeping" and that she "looks like she's dead"! Well, upon closer inspection...sure enough. Dory had gone on to a better place. (No, the cat didn't get her!) Gavin was very sad. Trevor wasn't sad at all! He actually said, "I'm not sad at all!" Until, of course, he saw how much love and attention Gavin was getting for being sad! Then, all of sudden, Trevor was very "sad"! Gavin said that Dory is alive in heaven and that he can imagine what heaven looks like..."White clouds and angels everywhere, and a big white throne with Jesus on it! ...And great (great) Grandpa is there, too, taking care of Dory!" Ahhhh...

I guess I didn't catch that her name was Dory...that's funny cause John II kept calling her Nemo the other day...well, actually Elmo...but he means Nemo. :)

Actually, Dory is a boy, but we never could call her (him) a boy because her (his) name was Dory! Ha! We had her (him) for 2 and a half years! So, we told Gavin that's why she died...her time was up...not that we just haven't been feeding her! Oops! Sorry, G!
