A couple weeks ago, the boys and I drove over to Chelan with Linda, so she could buy some pears for canning. We all had a great time! We stayed over night in one of John and Linda's time share condos, so we had all the comforts of home...and then some! We played Rummikub, watched a movie, ate pop corn, used the hot tub, the boys played racquetball and Gavin even went swimming (briefly!) in the outdoor pool! (Oh yes...and we also bought fruit at various fruit stands!) We were so blessed to wake up the morning after we got there to gorgeous weather! Everything was so beautiful, it made me want to paint a picture!
Brrrrrrrrrr!!!

"When I grow up..."
Trevor is always asking me if he can be whatever he wants when he grows up. Of course, I say , "Yes! You can be whatever you want to be!" Usually he says he wants to be a golfer and would I please "sign him up" to be a golfer! The other day he said to me, "You know what I'm going to be when I grow up?" I said, "What's that?" He said, "What you are! A grown-up!" (Clever.) Then Gavin said, "You mean you're going to be a grown up that doesn't make money!?" Nice.

Gridiron Classic
Washington State played San Diego at Qwest field on Saturday. This was the second year in a row that we have gone to the "Gridiron Classic" with Zach and Kim. (We just learned that it's called that!) I think we are going to make it an annual tradition! It's so much fun being in the stadium with all those Coug fans! It's a sea of crimson! ...Laughing, cheering, eating garlic fries, critiquing the cheerleaders...and of course, there was a football game going on, too! (Coug's beat the Aztecs 45 to 17! See, don't I sound like I was paying attention!?)
That's my man!
We wanted to get a picture of us in front of the beautiful city skyline. After attempting to take the picture ourselves, a crazy old man walked by and took my camera so he could take the picture for us! It was nice, funny, and scary, all at the same time! Ha! The picture turned out nice, didn't it, old creepy guy?

Our Busy Weekend
Our busy weekend began with soccer practice on Friday night. (I had to go "mama bear" on a punk kid on a bike who was terrorizing my little 5 year old! I couldn't help but think of the Karate Kid. Bryan told me I should have just put a broom stick through his spokes! Ha!) Then, Saturday was "Jamboree", in which the boys had their first games and pictures. Here are a few pictures of Trevor's game. It was really hard to pick only a few! They are all so darned cute!

Iron Girl
We have had a jam packed few days, which I will blog all about later. But, I at least wanted to get these pictures posted! I ran the Iron Girl 5K with Kim, yesterday! It was so much fun! I actually finished in 32 minutes! (That's amazing for me!) Kim, thank you for running with me and encouraging me and pushing me...and for letting me beat you by one second! I hope we can still be friends! ; )

A Profound Thought...

Go, Mariners!
We went to a Mariners game a few weeks ago with Bryan's parents. As you can see, the boys made "Rally Fry" signs! Unfortunately, they didn't win the fries. There was a cute little baby a few rows over, with a crazy elaborate sign, (that took 3-4 adults to hold it up!) that won. (Whatever. Did that baby make his own sign like my boys did? I think NOT!) So, as the mom, I'm a little biased. I was very proud of how hard they worked on their signs...all by themselves! (Clearly. Ha!) We all had a fun time riding the train, cheering on the M's, and eating junk food! (OK. I take that back...I got REALLY motion sick on the train ride home. But other than that, it was a fun time!)
